About Me

Born and raised in Ottawa, Tommy completed his Honours Bachelor of Human Kinetics (BHK) at the University of Ottawa in 2013, followed by his Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) at Western University in 2015. In 2016, he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association in addition to a Graston Technique Specialist (GTS) in 2018. As a former varsity volleyball player, his extensive background in sport from an athletic perspective provides an advantage when it comes to treating and training athletes. His treatment philosophy integrates a variety of different approaches including manual therapy techniques, acupuncture, dry needling, and therapeutic exercise to empower individuals to achieve optimal movement, performance, and function.

Why Am I a Mobile Physiotherapist?

I have been a physiotherapist since 2015 working in private practice in a typical outpatient clinic setting, treating an average of 8-12 patients per day, 6 days a week. After 7 years of working in a fast-paced environment, I realized I couldn’t sustain it anymore and needed to create a better solution.

I didn’t like not having time to just sit and listen to my clients, or re-assess something if a new issue came up. I didn’t like the feeling of just getting through each client and onto the next one. I truly wanted the best for each client but at this volume it was physically and emotionally draining for me.

I absolutely knew I wanted to find a way to give every single client my full attention, energy, and time. I wanted every client to feel taken care of, validated, and important. I wanted to be easily accessible and flexible.

So I went mobile! I could finally have control over my schedule and thus the number of clients I see. I am much happier and finally feel I can provide the level of care that I have been longing for and that my clients deserve!
